Serpents Shadow #4
Sadie immediately is wary of the "Uncle Vinnie in the wall", and she has the rights reason, after all he calls her doll. When she asks who he is the face shrugs the comment off like she should know who he is and if she wants to defeat Apophis she is going to need to get him out of some place. He then tells her to save the golden box but not the scroll. As they walk into the room Carter notices there are two criosphinxes, just as Khufu lets them know they only have five minutes until the attack. Carter then turns to Sadie and asks her if she is okay but before she can answer she notices Walt. Walt is leaning against a throne in a glass case. When Sadie asks whats wrong he replies it was King Tutankhamen's throne in which he died in. The young king was one of Walt's ancestors but, just like Walt had a genetic poison that was killing him. The more he practiced magic the worse it became.

The Serpents Shadow #3
After a shaking introduction to the team of kids that would be in charge of protecting a museum from the god of chaos, JD Grissom is a little worried and upset. Apologizing for everything her team broke in the gift shop Sadie repairs everything with the spell "Hi-nehm", which she has gotten better at and now doesn't pass out after words. Even better she hasn't once exploded. When Walt apologizes Sadie instantly forgives him since they have a little bit of a complicated relationship. Walt is athletic and looks like a basketball player, he always is wearing a sleeveless t-shirt and has hot "cocoa" color skin, as the British part of Sadie states. JD shows the team his guards and Alyssa notices they have glowing eyes and Sadie guesses it is so they can see into Duat, a magical realm that coexist with ours, a subject Alyssa doesn't like because unlike the earth and clay of her patron, Jeb, she can touch the Duat. In the King Tut exhibit Sadie comes across a touchy statue of her friend Bes, the dwarf god that gave his soul to let Sadie and Carter survive. Just as Sadie starts to walk away the wall grows features and talks to her telling her she wont save the last scroll tonight. Sadie describes him as a mafia character, like an Uncle Vinnie.

The Serpent's Shadow #2 Ipad
Carter continues to explain to JD about the attacks on the other museums and when they occur, the night of a full moon. Sadie thinking back on the other attacks on Chicago, Mexico City, and Toronto lets us know that Apophis has only been out for six months. Unusually the great snake is taking his time which is strange since he is the symbol of Chaos. Anne, JD's wife a fiddler walks by and tells her husband to hurry up so they can continue with there band procession. Sadie then explains to JD that Apophis is after a specific artifact that has six copies of it but he has destroyed five already. Both Sadie and Carter are nervous to say out loud what artifact specifically he wants to destroy, even though they have multiple anti-eavesdropping spells around them. Instead the siblings ask to to just show JD then state their proposal to protect it, and that is to take it back to their mansion in Brooklyn. After showing a picture of the nome in Toronto, the place were they had kept one of the artifacts, JD agrees but hopes that siblings team is the best. When they meet up with the team in the library right away they show off their "top-notch" abilities. Felix, the youngest with them, had summoned up three penguins that took king tut masks and waddled around the gift shop. Khufu, the wild baboon who will only eat thing ending in -o, is reading The History of the Pharaohs except the book was upside down. Walt had the jewelery cabinet open and was examining the bracelets and necklaces. Alyssa was making clay pots float with her powerful magic of the earth, and was juggling twenty or thirty in a figure eight. Not the best way to show someone you just met that you are responsible.

The Serpents Shadow Ipad #1
This is the book that makes chronicle a trilogy and as with all the Kane Chronicle storiesit starts out with a quick heads up summary by our two favorite siblings, Carter and Sadie Kane. This time around Sadie starts off the narration by telling us that we have just survived a Doomsday. As the snide remarking Sadie is she states she sorry if we experienced any inconveniences, earthquakes, riots, floods, as it was was mostly her and her brother's fault. Thinking back, Sadie believes the problem started "when fire-breathing sheep destroyed the King Tut exhibit". There was a party and and the magicians in Texas were hosting it. Right away Sadie uses some British words and said if you didn't understand "you'll just have to keep up and learn the proper way of saying things". JD Grissom was talking with the guest when Sadie had to talk to him about urgent matters. JD was surprised when Sadie and Carter tell him that Apophis is going to attack the King Tut exhibit. JD was a tall but stocky man with red hair that went in every direction, he also had a silver Lone Star belt buckle. Carter starts to explain and Sadie takes a second to explain how much of an idiot he is even when he is as confident sounding as he is now. She said that with his khopesh sword and strong stance she could almost picture him as a leader of men, without laughing until her sides hurt.

Eragon pg 109-115
Brom insists that instead of flying on Saphira they buy horses. At first Eragon is irritated because this will make it harder to catch the Ra'zac. Brom then states his reason and that is that Galbotrix wants him recruited our killed and the longer Eragon is away from him the stronger he can become and he will have time to ally himself with Galbotrix's enemies. With this in mind Eragon drifts off to sleep. In the morning Brom talks about dragons and how dragons are born. Dragons are born ready to hatch but wait for the right person to come by before hatching. Just when Eragon is tired of Brom he surprises him. Throwing a stick carved like a sword at Eragon he tells him to fight. Thinking it will be easy he started calmly but was surprised when he was knocked down by Brom. After regaining his senses from being knocked down he tries to leave but Brom stops him and attacks again, and once again beats Eragon. Then he tells Eragon to tell Saphira to do something and when Eragon asks why he doesnt just tell her himself he replies it is bad manners to speak to someone else's dragons. Eragon points out he did it before and Brom tells him he did what he had to.

Eragon pg 103 to 108 Ipad
Brom tells Eragon what the strangers were that burned down the farm.Their name are Ra'zac and they are Galbatorix's dragon finders. Eragon then finally tells Brom were he found the egg of Saphira and they are quiet because none of them know were she came from. When they stop for the night Eragon grudgingly goes to sleep. In the morning Brom asks Eragon what he is going to do with the stolen leather and Eragon says make a saddle even though he doesn't know how to. Brom then makes a flexible saddle for speed out of the leather for Eragon but he doesn't try it out then and there.
