Eragon 17 to

Eragon takes the stone home and puts it in his room. When he is in bed the stone shakes and splits open to reveal a baby dragon. The dragon is blue and small and not scared of Eragon at all. Eragon puts out his hand and touches its back and immediately a burning tingle sends him onto his back shaking. It takes a few moments until he can feel his fingers again and it feels as if a spider bit him, which I know is painful from experience. He has a strange shiny mark on the hand he touched the dragon with. He feeds it and touches it again but feels no tingle or burn.He puts the small dragon to bed right next to him and falls asleep.

Eragon pages 1 to 17

The Shades starts the book sounding like a antagonist. He ambushes three elves along with ogre like creatures. When there cover is blown the elves try to escape but two are killed and one is cornered but sends away her package before she is knocked unconscious. Eragon was in the woods hunting when he found a stone and when he tries to sell it the butcher gets mad at him and tells him to go away. A man named Horst comes up to the fifteen year old and buys the meat for him so he can go home and feed his family..
